It is important for us to examine how other industrially developing countries have approached the integration of space technology in their economies. The experiences of these countries constitute an invaluable knowledge trove indispensable to Kenya’s quest to establish a sustainable domestic space sector.
We shall consider an extremely abridged scrutiny of the Indian and Brazilian experiences in integrating space technology in their national development agenda. These countries face developmental challenges similar to those faced by Kenya and have quite successfully co-opted space technology in their national development plans. We shall endeavor to unravel the space policy they have adopted, their space sector organizational frameworks and the impacts of space technology on their national development.
